Chains
The Author of the book chains is Laurie Halse Anderson. This took place in Rhode Island and New York. It happened at 1776 through 1777. The culture is none of this is happining like what is happining in the book. The main character in this book is Isabel. The reason why because, it talks about her through out the book. Isabel's outlook changed her life in this novel. The bad character is Ms. Lockton because, she has Isabel in slavery and puts her in a dungeon and they fight alot in the book. The reason why they fight in the book is because of her husband. If you want to know if Isabel and her Sister breaks free or not and they have to stay you have to read this book. The whole book starts off like this she breaks free and runs but she runs into some soldiers and they catch her. A rising action is she tried to escape and they tried to hang her. The main conflict is finding Ruth and run away and wants to be free. The appropriate decision made by the main character Isabel is she tries to find Ruth.The theme of the story talks about human freedom. One of the reason's is she wants you to do is to do some stuff for poor people. My hook is to see if Ruth can get free. And they can break out and run away.

Heroes Don't Run
Adam is a 17 year old that wants to join the marines but his mom won’t let him, but he leaves to go to his grandpas house and writes her a letter and he joins the army but there is only one reason why he’s going to join the army, and that’s because his dad died in this war and he’s going to get revenge. So do you think he’s going to take revenge or is he going to get hurt.

New Year Resolution's
1. My New Year Resolutions are go to the Coast Guard and live in Miami, Florida, or wherever they put me.
2. They will ether put me somewhere by the ocean or Puerto Rico so im going to go to the coast guard and talk to them to get in.
3. My next resolution is me and my fiancé are going to save money and go buy a big house.
4. Next is to have enough money for me and my fiancé to get whatever we want in the house and a car or something else. We will have enough money to do anything.
5. My Uncle is in the army and he told me this.
My first goal is to pass Environmental Science with Mrs. Barnett. I will do all of my homework and class work on time. Since the work is hard, I will ask for help during my 3B study hall.
The second goal I plan to accomplish is to graduate from Batesville High School in 2011. To do this I will need to attend school and pass all of my classes. My biggest obstacle will be Oral Communication next year. I can pass this class if I pay attention in class, get help with my speeches and practice each speech with Mrs. Ballard.
My third goal is to get a part time job this summer. I can do this by visiting several of the fast food restaurants in town and asking for applications. I will ask my English teacher or my transition teacher to help me with the applications. Then I will practice interviewing for a job and hopefully be asked to come in for an interview.

Essay
Self Injury
Before I read you this essay lets talk bout the insurance company do you think they should pay for the stuff that them teenagers do. I don’t think they should.
In the book cut self injury was affective throughout the book like the girls going to the bathroom and cutting themselves. Teens use self injury because of stress or they just want to. It’s not going to be easy to tell them teens to stop using self injury, because once they do it one time for the heck of it there not going to stop.
Although self injury is rarely a suicidal act, it need to be taken seriously because accidental deaths do occur. Self Injury is an infliction of tissue damage or alteration to thereself without suicidal intent. The relationship between self injury and suicide is very complex, self injury may be life threatening, with or without in touch with suicide.
When self injury is associated with depression, antidepressant drugs and treatments may be effective. Here some examples of self injury hair pulling, picking skin off, excessive or dangerous use of cutting themselves. Parents and grandparents didn’t use self injury. Deciding to stop self injury is a very personal decision.You may have to consider it before you decide that your ready to commit to a life without scars and bruises.
Don’t be discouraged if you conclude it isn’t right you to stop yet. But the right thing to do is stop doing it. So if you think about starting to cut yourself like Callie did in the book cut don’t say I didn’t try to help you

Yes he should send more troops to afghanistan. I don't like it if they reinstating the draft. Yes they should initiate a 1 cent tax. I don't want to know what will happen to our economy if he sends our troops home.
